The executive problem

Organizations re-decide things constantly. Monday's decision is gone by Thursday; the reasoning behind last quarter's pivot lives in someone's head; a commitment made in a meeting quietly evaporates.

Chat history is not memory. A transcript remembers words, not decisions, and it cannot tell you why something was decided or whether it is still true.

The IEVA approach

IEVA's prototype stores preferences, decisions, projects, audiences, and unresolved work in transparent, human-readable memory files. The product evolves this into persistent executive and organizational memory: decisions and rationale, priorities and commitments, people and relationship context, meeting history, open questions, project state — each with source provenance and retention rules.

Memory is presented as something you review and correct, not an invisible black box. If IEVA remembers it, you can see it, trace it, fix it, or delete it.

Example workflow: A decision that stays decided

  1. In a leadership meeting, the team decides to delay a launch by a quarter, for three explicit reasons.
  2. IEVA records the decision, its rationale, its owner, and the meeting it came from.
  3. Three weeks later, a thread proposes re-opening the launch date. IEVA surfaces the decision and its reasoning alongside the thread.
  4. If the rationale no longer holds, you revise the decision — and the revision becomes part of the record.

What the user sees

  • A memory view organized by decisions, commitments, people, and open loops — not an undifferentiated feed.
  • Rationale and sources attached to each entry.
  • Controls to correct, annotate, or delete any memory entry.

Human control and governance

  • Memory is reviewable and correctable by design.
  • Every entry is attributable to its sources.
  • Permissions and retention rules apply to memory, not just to raw sources.
